Okay, so it has been forever...

If you've read Emily's blog lately, you might have read about the Special cola. It's at Braum's...and it's gross. Anyone tried it? It's a great conversation piece...and yet one cannot put it down for some reason. Do you know anyone who buys it on a regular basis? Do Oklahomans like it? Is that why it is still on the shelves?

Hope you're having a great summer!
I'm here a work taking a moment's break.
We are leaving for London in 12 days! Very excited.
I also now have a craft booth above Babe's Chicken in Burleson, TX. I sell framed photography. I hope to take some good pictures in England and Scotland.
I will try to post some pictures on here, too.
Alex has two more weeks of school. And finally a much needed time for refreshment!
Let us know how and what you're doing this summer!
Love,
Alex & Kim

Hope you have a great weekend!
I'm leaving today to go to Claremore, Oklahoma, to visit my grandma! She is turning 93 tomorrow!
Forgot to mention...I met Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore) from Gilmore Girls! And Misty met Rick Perry! Inquire for details.
Pray for Project Impact!
And for the college ministry at Hope!

Thank you all wrote in the graduation book Alex surprised me with! It was such a great day and your words meant a lot.
To update ya'll, Alex and Jon are taking a preaching class together for the next two weeks, and last week was a college I-Term that I took because Max, Harold and Neil taught the class. It was great! I was so excited that other seminary students got to hear from these amazing men of God! By Friday afternoon, I was majorly overloaded so I began my Gilmore Girls summer mania.
Alex is in class until July 1 and we are working this summer at the conference center as well as ministering to college students at Hope. If ya'll would like to visit Cowtown, let us know!!

Yes, as a matter of fact, one of my first cakes will be to you, birthday gal Emily!

I had the craziest thing happen to me this week, so if you have a weak stomach, better not read on....is anyone still there? So here's how it goes...I decided to give blood for the first time in my life. I made an appointment and went on Tuesday to mobile blood van that was on campus. I was excited about being a part of possibly saving a life. After waiting an hour, my time came. Since needles don't bother me I thought this experience was going to be a piece of cake. Ha! I watched them insert the needle and viewed the horror as my blood erupted like a volcano! After that excitement, there was easy coasting until nearing the end of my pint, when I became a little woozy. After having towels and ice cold water on my face and neck, and coughing to get oxygen, and the world appearing grainy, I was a about to pass out when better yet, I then was about to throw up. Yes, I threw up. Yum. Right in front of fellow students in a small RV. I missed some of the bag, and had throw-up on my shirt and pants. Yes, I was a wet, throwed-up, bloody mess. It was horrible. They better use my blood with all I went through! I don't think this stuff happens to people normally, it was just my turn to be the exception.

Any fun stories you have about donating?

Hello friends! Summertime is almost here! My favorite time of year! Alex and I are swamped with end of the semester schoolwork and all I want to do is to be outside! I'm graduating May 6! Yes! Alex has one more year and a summer of Hebrew to do-his degree plan is 30 hours more than mine. I'm sad that we won't be able to graduate on the same day, but that's okay. I'm going to continue to take some classes. May 9-13 is a college ministry course with Max, Harold and Neil, so if anyone is interested in taking it, let me know pronto and we can see if we can get you in there! It is 402 bucks to take it-yikes. I think I'm just going to audit it...a graduate needs a break, right? Here is a phrase I wanted to share...seniority/longevity can lead to complacency. This is a statement that has been a great reminder that I don't know everything and that my way is not necessarily the best way, but that I must be open to growing and learning.
Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

TGIF

The weekend is here!
Has anyone ever heard of Italian charms? My friends are selling them, so if you are interested, check out
www.sweetsoutherncharms.com! I am having a charm home party tomorrow. I don't know what all that entails, but it should be fun! They look like they would make great graduation gifts. Come by if you are in the area!

Holly, thanks for the one and only comment we've received! I'm glad we have a faithful viewer!
